Taylor & Family, Fort Greene

Mornings in Fort Greene have their own pace, easy, familiar, and close to home.

We met Taylor and her family in their brownstone apartment, a small space filled with just enough room for everything that matters. Toys tucked into corners, light pouring through the windows, the kind of home where life is happening all at once.

It started there, moving through their usual rhythm. Getting ready, gathering things, small moments unfolding without much direction. The kind of energy that comes with being together in a lived-in spacereal, a little busy, but full.

The walk to Fort Greene Park felt like an extension of home. Familiar streets, quick stops, the natural flow of a family moving through their neighborhood.

At the park, everything opened up. Room to run. Space to slow down. Time stretched in a different way. The kids led the pace, as they usually do pulling everyone into moments that couldn’t be planned. Laughter, movement, a little bit of chaos in the best way.

That’s what stayed with us how seamlessly their world moves between spaces. From a tight apartment to an open park, from quiet moments to loud ones, all held together by the same feeling.
